A Normal Pet

My rabbit named Ash

Baby Imperial Pidgeon

Bat Pup

My Turtle

We had a freshwater turtle named Bowser for awhile, but one night he got up and walked away.  I hope he is happy.

Fledglings

This is a baby finch.  A lot of times we find fledgling finches that fell out of their nests.  This one we name Chewbacca.

Deadly Waters

I've been net fishing a lot lately.  While fishing I've been stung by a jellyfish twice, and by a sea anemone and a sea urchin.  I've been bit by a blowfish, sea lice and a barracuda.  I got cut by a spiky fish I caught in the net once too.

Burton's Legless Lizard

This is a Burtons legless lizard.  The difference between a legless lizard and a snake is that lizards have visible ear holes and that their jaws are not flexible.  This one was a female, I know because she laid 2 eggs.  She was refusing to eat in captivity so we released her and we've seen her a few times since then in our garden,

Miniature Dinosaur

This is a baby saltwater crocodile. We named it Jade and it was our pet until it got away.  Crocodiles have the strongest jaw strength of any creature.  We had to go catch fish to feed to her and I think it liked to eat our fingers more than it liked the fish.  She bit me over fifty times.

Love at First Sight

Kookaburra

This is a Blue Winged Kookaburra, it eats insects, lizards, small mice, and sometimes even other kookaburras!  I named our kookaburra Tang.  We taught him to play the ukulele.  Kookaburras live in groups and if one from another group comes and tries to join, they will eat it.

Sea Creatures

This is a sea cucumber I found while I was diving.  We saw tons of fish and some crabs.

This was a sea horse that was found at Jais Aben.

Clam chowder tomorrow!
These are clams that we dug up near our house

Here is a sea crab

Can anyone guess what this is?

A Deadly Nut

Photo: Newest member of the family

We have a new cat named Acorn.  She likes to try and attack our other pets.  We feed her tuna, fish guts, and leftovers.  She likes to try and pounce on my feet when I am sitting in a chair.

Last night, when we were going fishing, we saw a dog coming around our yard.  I had to run back and put Acorn in a cage.  This is because last night the dog ate all of our guinea pigs and we were afraid it might eat our kitten too. Later, my mom chased it out of our fence.

We keep her in a cage only at night for protection.  In the day time she just runs around and sleeps.

My Marbled Frogmouth

This a Tawny Frogmouth chick.  They are not owls, like many think. They are more closely related to kookaburras or nightjars.  They are nocturnal.  They catch food with their beaks rather than their talons.  Bothe males and females take turns sitting on the eggs.  The couple stays together until one dies.

It is supposed to eat mice, rats, cicadas, beetles and moths.  Ours is a baby, so we smash up beetles in water and use a dropper to put the guts into it's mouth. It seems pretty happy about that.  It is tame and seems to like us.  It stinks like a skunk when it feels threatened.  There are 14 species of frogmouths

My Three Snakes

I currently have three green tree pythons.  I have recently convinced them to eat dead rats instead of live ones.  Their names are Emerald, Viper, and St. Patrick

This is my new baby owl.  I think that it may be a barking owl.  It eats rats but I have to hold them up like it's mom would.  We named it Indy, since we got it on Independence Day.

Marsupial Madness

I am hand rearing a baby cuscus.  People ate her mom.  She still drinks milk and eats fruit too.  She loves to be with me al day in her bilum.

My Papuan Eagle

My newest bird is going to get HUGE! It can eat dogs and pigs. I hope he doesn't eat my little brothers  Right now it is a fledgling. Later it will have a wingspan of 5 feet and be almost 3 feet tall.  There are only a few thousand left in the world.  This one was brought to us by some neighbors who ate it's sister.  It likes to make noises back and forth with me.
